Demand Parole For The Move 9 Sisters This Monday April 4th 2016

For The past three months we have been engrossed in a public campaign to promote The upcoming May 2016 parole hearings for our sisters Janet , Janine , and Debbie Africa . We have had successful programs in both New York (February) and Philadelphia (March) and we completed twenty radio shows across the country during the month of January 2016 . All of this helped further gain public support for our sisters but we cannot stop here as we have to keep the momentum going and your help is needed now more than ever .

This Monday we will be restarting our Move 9 Monday's Call in Campaign as we continue to keep the pressure on Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf . Governor Wolf for months now has made cries and called for parole reform in the state of Pennsylvania all while purposely ignoring the illegal practices of The Pa Parole Board and the unjust illegal parole denials of innocent Move Members eight years past their parole eligibility .  During The last three hearings we have seen Michael Africa , Delbert Africa , And Eddie Africa All Denied.

The Parole Board who is being guided by The Fraternal Order Of Police are planning to follow this same pattern with our sisters but like we stated in January we are no longer allowing this . Our sisters are in prison and have been their for the past 37 years with no weapons charges . At this point people know all about their accomplishments , work plans , housing , Institutional Recommendation , etc . This isn't about the safety of the community or the nature of the crime this is about the system and it's hatred for Move Members .

As evidence in the mysterious deaths of Merle Africa (1998) and Phil Africa (2015)   Officials along with The Parole Board are carrying out the plan for Move Members to die in prison . This Monday April 4th 2016 we are asking for people who are concerned with justice to call , fax , and email The Office Of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf  and demand immediate parole for

Janet (Holloway) Africa 006308
Debbie (Sims)  Africa 006307
Janine (Phillips) Africa 006309

Move 9 Monday's March 7 2016 The People vs Pa Governor Tom Wolf

The Upcoming May 2016 parole hearings for our sisters Janet , Janine , and Debbie Africa is quickly approaching . Even though they have a May date for their hearings we do not know if this will be the official date due to the fact that the Pa Parole Board has been known now to play the stalling game as recently shown in the almost four month delay for the parole hearing for Eddie Africa. This though is a clear indication of the pressure they are under over the issue of parole for Move Political Prisoners .

This Monday March 7th 2016  we are restarting our Move 9 Monday's call in campaign and the main target will be Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf . Pennsylvania's new Governor has continued to make liberal cries for parole reform across the state yet will not speak on the issue or take action on the subject of parole for The Move 9 . We are asking that people concerned with justice and doing what's right call , Fax ,and Email The Governors Office this Monday March 7th and demand parole for

Debbie (Sims) Africa 006307
Janet (Holloway) Africa 006308
Janine (Phillips) Africa 006309

People can reach The Governors Office

By Phone  (717) 787-2500
By Fax       (717) 772-8284
By Email  You can go to the Pa.gov site and go to the contact section.

Also at this crucial time we are urging people to sign The petition we have aimed at United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch urging an investigation into the wrongful and ongoing imprisonment of The Move 9 . People can sign the petition at https://www.causes.com/campaigns/92454-free-the-move-9.

Eddie Africa Denied Parole

When The Move 9 became eligible for parole in 2008 The Pennsylvania Parole Board took on the responsibility of officials of this system in keeping innocent Move Members in prison for the rest of their lives . From 2008 up until as recent as this past week all of The Move 9 have been denied parole.  . We received a call last night from our brother Eddie Africa who was calling to let us know he was denied yet again by The Pa Parole Board and was given a two year hit where he would not go before the board again until 2018 .

The Parole Board has cited the issue of Eddie being a risk to the safety of the community. At Eddie's parole hearing the parole board was presented with a petition of 300 signatures of members of the community who would welcome him on parole into the community and who in fact felt no threat to their safety with Eddie in the community . It's obvious that this community that the parole board is talking about is none other than the law enforcement community across the country who have mobilized against parole for Move Members .

This clearly shows that The Parole Board has no regards to the community and their input on anything as they only value the input of law enforcement officials who they are obviously  working in conjunction with to keep our family in prison . Eddie sounded strong as always and he has not been deterred by this and neither are we . The fight continues to win parole for our family as we prepare for our sisters may 2016 parole hearings . There will be more information to follow in the next couple of days on the next steps we are taking .

In the meantime we urge people to sign The Petition we aimed at US Attorney General Loretta Lynch as we demand that The Justice Department investigate the wrongful and ongoing imprisonment of The Move 9 . People can go to https://www.causes.com/campaigns/92454-free-the-move-9.

A Poem For Move

Move (for water contaminated flint, for pam, ramona and the move 9)
By ‘bro.zayid’

“say, we better run on...
See what the end is gonna bring
“Say, we better run on…
See what the end is gonna bring…”
                        -freedom song

When the time has come
Move…
Once u get clear
Move…
Once u get ready
Move
Once u get set
Move…
Once the light comes on
Move
Once the toxic smoke clears
Move
Once the truth arrives
Sledgehammer hard and heavy
Move…
Once u’ve had enuf
Move…
Once u’ve done yr work
Move
Once the children and elders are secured
Move
Once yr allies are with u.
Move…
Once the spirit of justice stirs like hot stew
Move…
Once yr down
Get up
Move…
When the word is given
When the drum sounds
When the time has come
For the precious air we share
For the water for tongue and skin
Get ready
Get set
For love for liberation
For life
Move! Move! Move!
Goddamnit, move!

“say, we gonna run on
See what the end is gonna bring…”

Mumia On The Move 9 Sisters

1/22/16
THE MOVE SISTERS. FREEDOM. NOW.
© ’16 Mumia Abu-Jamal [1/19/16]

It’s a fact that the U.S. is an Ahistorical society. If we go more than 20 minutes down time’s road, most Americans will have forgotten all; in a few weeks; a month?
Forget it.
Americans long for the new, best thing. And truth be told, what passes for history these days are usually lies. Y’know, about freedom-loving ‘Founding Fathers’, and so forth. Truth? Almost all of them were wealthy slaveholders. It’s hard to even say, ‘Freedom’ when you own other people.
Let’s go back, but not so far. August 8th, 1978. That’s the last date that MOVE sisters Debby Sims Africa, Janine Phillips Africa and Janet Holloway Africa saw freedom. That’s the date Philly cops attacked MOVE’s house in West Philadelphia, and again, truth: they shot one of their own – and charged 9 MOVE men and women with murder.
Yet how do you murder someone, shoot someone, without using, or even charging them with possessing  a weapon?
For 38 years, the MOVE sisters have been wondering about the same thing.
Truth: They were prosecuted for being MOVE members.
They were convicted for being MOVE members.
They have repeatedly been denied parole –for being MOVE members.
The struggle for their long-denied freedom is heating up, as more and more people learn about their unjust plight.
These beautiful, thoughtful women are model prisoners.
They help other women at Cambridge Springs ‘Correctional’ Institution navigate the horrors of imprisonment.
It is criminal that they’ve been in prison for one day, much less 38 years!

Denver Abc Supports The Move Women

Greetings to all,

When I first started writing political prisoners, I anxiously awaited everyday for responses to my letters. Debbie Africa was one of the first to comrades to write me back. I was so excited I couldn't help but announce it to everyone. I felt honored that such a committed revolutionary, whom receives  mail from all over the world, took the time to respond to me. It was epic. The inspiration accelerated me into prisoner support faster then I could have predicted.

Two years later I would find my self organizing a trip to Pennsylvania to visit the Move 9. Accompanied by Odette of South Brooklyn Anarchist Black Cross and warmly welcomed by Ramona Africa, the trip solidified quickly. Unfortunately however, we were unable to squeeze a visit with Debbie, Janet, and Janine due to the more than 300 miles that isolate them from the others. One by one the Move men encouraged us to included them on the next trip. The importance of a focus on getting the women out of prison first, was expressed enduringly.

A year later, at a hell hole known as SCI Cambridge Springs, we were greeted by the joyful energetic spirits we've been aching to see.  I melted as Debbie ran across the room and hugged me. I felt re-born after Janet's hug and 10 times stronger after Janine's. The visit was everything we expected and more. Sitting face to face with such passionate freedom fighters, listening to new ideas, new strategies, and planning our next steps for parole; an invaluable experience incomparable to the rest. I left the visit more armed to combat our enemies and their system to which we will not compromise. Sentenced 30-100 years for surviving a deadly assault from the Philadelphia Police, Janet, Janine, and Debbie still continue growing stronger. The battle continues and they will not be broken.

The Move 9 rest deep within the hearts of all at Denver ABC. Let's bring them home now. Take action and support parole for Janet Africa, Janine Africa, and Debbie Africa. Sign the petition to free the Move 9 and follow move9parole.blogspot.com for updates and action alerts.

Stop at nothing to free them all.

Move 9 Media Month 2016

The first four months of 2016 will prove to be very crucial as we have initiated this new campaign geared toward the May 2016 parole hearings of Janet, Janine, and Debbie Africa. This issue with the parole board is one that we will not let go away and one that will be exposed by any means. It doesn't help that the mainstream media won't shed light on the illegal parole denials of the Move 9 and the illegal parole practices of the Pennsylvania Parole Board as they have been seen to consistently aid the Fraternal Order of Police, The Philadelphia District Attorney and other officials over the issue of the Move 9.

It's ok cause one way or another we will get the information out through the media on this issue. We have officially deemed January 2016 as Move 9 Media Month. We are doing 11 radio shows in the month of January that are already confirmed plus more to come this month to expose this issue of the Pennsylvania Parole Board and their illegal parole denials of our family.

Here is a full listing of some of the January shows we have set if people are interested in hosting us there still is more than enough time to reach us at Rebelchild170@aol.com.

Turn Up Time Support Parole For The Move 9 Sisters

This Coming May our sisters Move Political Prisoners Janet , Janine , and Debbie Africa will be making an appearance for what will be their seventh time before The Pennsylvania Parole Board and we intend to turn the heat up over this . The Pennsylvania Parole Board since 2008 has worked consistently with the Fraternal Order Of Police and This Government to ensure that not only Move Members remain in prison but to ALSO DIE IN PRISON as per the death of Phil Africa in Early January 2015 . We have serious work to do as we cannot afford to let another one of our family and political prisoners die in the prison system . The Time  is now to bring them home all of them home .

Our Family are now going into their 38th year of unjust imprisonment . Our sisters were framed for the Murder of Officer James Ramp as well as our brothers and each given 30-100 years but the thing that we want to point out is that our sisters none were never given weapons charges when tried and convicted . For The now 38 years that committed Move Members have been in prison they have set a Strong Revolutionary Example Of Love , Commitment , Unity , and Hard Work all instilled in them by JOHN AFRICA THE FOUNDER AND COORDINATOR OF THE MOVE ORGANIZATION . This example has earned the respect of prison officials throughout the state of Pennsylvania .

Since 2008 till as far back as Debbie Africa's last parole denial in 2014 all of The Move Women have been recommended for parole by prison officials at SCI Cambridge Springs in Pennsylvania . Prison officials have viewed strong women who have kept down racial and gang violence . Women who have helped mothers establish relationships with their children on the outside and motivate and give hope to many women who are facing life or many years to come in prison .  Despite all of this officials are hell bent on keeping our family in prison our Brother Eddie Africa was due to see The Parole Board back in October 2015 and as of January 1st 2015 has still not seen The Parole Board .

The Parole Board and this Government are out of excuses with The Move 9 and these unjust parole denials and that's because We have EXPOSED them and have taken away their excuses . They have been stalling the parole hearing of Eddie Africa cause at this point the only option they have is to do the right thing which they do not want to do.  As The Governor of Pennsylvania is now making liberal cries for parole reform in the state .We are launching a four month campaign that will run from January 1st Thru May 1st 2016 all aimed towards the efforts of bringing our sisters home . There will be plenty of information to follow on upcoming events in different cities and what people can do to get involved in this campaign to secure parole for our sisters and to bring them home .

At this point we are still urging people to sign the Justice Department petition for The Move 9 people can go to https://www.causes.com/campaigns/92454-free-the-move-9. Your signatures are greatly needed right now our goal is 2500 signatures

A Special Thank You / Year End Wrap Up

Ona Move

As 2015 is now ending and we approach the new year, I reflect back at 2015 and all of the powerful and wonderful work that was done and the new connections and friendships made during this year. Before we can even begin this though the beginning of 2015 started rough from the week long fight to save the life of our brother Phil Africa to his untimely mysterious passing in the prison infirmary. The world suffered a tremendous loss but Phil lives on forever in our hearts and his example will never be forgotten we all love you forever, Phil.  Despite all of this, we have not let up in our fight against the Pennsylvania Parole Board and exposing the unjust parole denials of Move Political prisoners.

This Friday 11/6/15

First we would like to start this by thanking all the people who took the time this past Monday to call and email PA Governor Tom Wolf in support of parole for our Brother Eddie Africa. This past Monday was a huge success as we will not leave a stone unturned in this fight with the Pennsylvania Parole Board and exposing their illegal and unjust actions in regards to the parole denials of Move Political Prisoners. The Governor's Office and The Parole Board is under a tremendous amount of pressure and do not want to deal with this issue as they are now playing a game of ping pong as each office is referring callers to the other's office number which isn't going to work.

Since Governor Tom Wolf has made the call for parole reform in Pennsylvania he will be held to it starting with The Move 9. We are asking people to call or email Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf This Friday 11/6/15 and demand parole for Edward Goodman Africa Am-4974 and also an investigation into the illegal and biased parole denials of the Move 9 from 2008 to 2015. People can call (717) 787-2500 or email governor@pa.gov. Here are key points that people can use when calling or emailing the Governor:
